Judges for the 10th Annual Limestone Coast Wine Show 2010

Huon Hooke - Chairman of Judges/Wine Journalist
Huon is wine writer for the Sydney Morning Herald and has been for 24 years. Huon also writes for the Gourmet Traveller, Decanter and the World of Fine Wine. Huon has also been a wine judge since 1987 and has returned to the Chairman’s role again for the 2009 show. Huon has a diploma in Wine from Roseworthy College.

Andrew Wigan
Andrew Wigan is Chief Winemaker at Peter Lehmann Wines and has been since 1980. Andrew has been chairman of the McLaren Vale Wine Show and has judged the Sydney Top 100, Rutherglen, Riverland, Hunter, and Hyatt Advertiser Wine Shows. He was recently named the Australian Gourmet Traveller Winemaker of the Year for 2009.

Rebecca Leung - International Judge
Rebecca is a widely recognised author, wine writer and popular 'blogger' and will be a welcome addition to this year's panel.

Tim Kirk
Tim is winemaker and CEO of Clonakilla Wines in Canberra. He has a background in Theology and Biblical studies. A recognised cool-climate shiraz specialist with a love for the wines of the Northern Rhone, Tim is regarded as the “Godfather” of Shiraz Viognier blends in Australia. Tim has judged at Adelaide, Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide Hills, Orange, Geelong, Cowra, Small Vignerons (Winewise), Victorian (Seymour) Wine Shows and the NSW Wine Awards.

Vanya Cullen
Vanya is the Managing Director and Senior Winemaker for Cullen Wines in Margaret River and is widely considered to be at the forefront of biodynamic and organic winemaking in Australia. An experienced show judge, Vanya has judged at a number of shows here and abroad including the National Wine Show (Australia), International Wine Magazine Challenge (UK) and shows in Hong Kong and Los Angeles. She has received a number of accolades including 2000 Qantas / The Wine magazine winemaker of the year and UK Drinks Magazine Woman of the year in 2008.
